Covering the Waimakariri, Hurunui and Kaikōura districts, MainPower provides a safe, secure supply of electricity to North Canterbury through their network of overhead powerlines and underground cables.
MainPower has been a partner of Life Education Trust Canterbury since 2018.
In 2021, a collaboration began between MainPower and Life Education Trust Canterbury to actively support a North Canterbury specific mobile classroom that allows our Specialist Educator to reach 7,000 rangatahi aged 5 – 13 in this region, per year.
Life Education Trust Canterbury is proud to be supported by businesses throughout the region that provide much needed ‘in kind’ support and ‘cash’ contributions that keep our Healthy Harold program at the forefront of Health and Wellbeing for young people.
Our current supporters are an integral part of our day to day operations and without their ongoing support, Life Education Canterbury would need to fundraise an extra $70,000 to continue to reach our most ‘at risk’ rangatahi.
An ‘in kind’ or ‘cash’ sponsorship is a meaningful way for your business or organisation to offer help within your own local community and is equally important to us.
For many years, the Transport Industry has been an integral part of the Canterbury community. The industry is close knit with family members following each other’s footsteps throughout the generations.
The work that the transport community does, takes us past many Schools where Transport Operators and their drivers’ children, attend to gain their education.
Being that the trucking community is family orientated, we are constantly looking at how we can give back to the community. We feel that supporting our children’s education in this ever-changing landscape is a high priority and see that Life Education fits our vision and beliefs. We support Life Education by providing drivers and tractor units where needed to transport their Mobile Learning Classrooms to each school, no matter how remote or urban.
The trucking community sees our assistance as valuable to the children, we see the benefits the Life Education Services provides, and the end results of the work being done with our children, by the schools throughout the year.
Community Grants generate approximately 40% of our operational budget each year.
These grants are specific to non-profit organisations delivering community-based social services that contribute to achieving locally-determined outcomes.
The community funders that support Life Education Trust Canterbury have been an integral part of our organisation for many years and continue to offer important operational grants to ensure we can deliver our Healthy Harold Programme year on year
We’re proud to be supported by many generous businesses and community organisations that help us reach 280,000 rangatahi nationally!
