Ric Thorpe’s Incredible Achievement: Running for Harold

This past Sunday, November 3rd, Ric Thorpe accomplished an extraordinary feat: completing a staggering 50.8 kilometers at the Sri Chinmoy Transcendence 50km Challenge in Christchurch. Tackling 20 laps of a 2.5 km course, Ric’s journey was as inspiring as it was demanding, embodying both resilience and dedication.

But this was more than just a physical achievement. Ric’s effort symbolized the challenges young people face today and the vital role Life Education Trust Canterbury plays in supporting them. His commitment wasn’t just about crossing the finish line—it was about raising funds and awareness to help build a brighter, healthier future for over 20,000 Canterbury children who benefit from our programs each year.

Thank You, Ric!

We are beyond grateful to Ric for his incredible effort and unwavering support of our mission. His run was not just a challenge of endurance; it was a powerful message of hope and advocacy for the children we serve. Through his participation, Ric has helped ensure that more children across Canterbury receive the education and support they need to grow into resilient, confident individuals.

Inspired to Make a Difference?

Ric’s achievement reminds us all that we can rise to any challenge. Whether it’s donating, cheering on someone taking on a challenge, or even setting your own goal, your actions can make a real difference. Together, we can continue to create opportunities for children to thrive and succeed.

Congratulations, Ric, and thank you for running for Harold! 🦒
